*~*~*~*

Marsorie held her fingertips against the mouth of the small yellow cup. It contained two aged die. She closed her eyes and concentrated, no longer feeling the prescence of the crowd watching her. She drowned out all of the city noises. She was in a small white room.

"The two die will land on sixes," She whispered, loud enough for the first two rows of her onlookers to hear. She heard faint ripples of explanation pulse at her skin.

"She's gonna make thuh dices land on sixes."

"Boff of 'em?"

"Yeah."

"Nuh-uh."

"Yeah-huh. Haff you watched her 'fore? She can make anythin' happ'n. She's thuh magic lady."

"Whoa."

Marsorie smirked to herself, satisfied. She shook the cup and hummed. She then flipped the cup and waited for responses.
"Two sixes!" Someone gasped, and the crowd applaused.
"Do something harder!"
Marsorie flicked open her eyes and growled, "All in good time."
"Naw, c'mon. Anyone can roll two sixes with enough practice."
Marsorie stood, the die floating in the air beside her. The crowd mumbled excitedly.
"She's makin' 'em fly!" A boy shrieked, as if all the onlookers were blind.
Marsorie gave a sharp nod and disappeared, the two die falling to the concrete.
